My focus is exoplanet photometry so I'm interested in how the peculiarities of CMOS will impact this high precision work. WebMar 15, 2024 · You have to enter the focal length into the settings. Also get a sharp focus and make sure the exposure is long enough to get enough stars. If it won't solve, nudging the telescope to a different position may work. With a 102mm f5 refractor the platesolving should work very well. WebMay 3, 2024 · Assuming that gain 11 is unity gain for this QHY camera and that the offset is at the lower end, you should be able to expose for 300 seconds and don't saturate your image. Just for testing: capture a 600 second dark at gain 0 and offset 0. This should be a dark image. Otherwise I would assume that another camera setting somehow got screwed. WebQHY183C camera has the anti-amp light control circuit and it can reduce the amplifier glow significantly. Note that it's impossible to reduce the glow in the corner thoroughly, and it's normal to see a very small amount of glow in the corner when you do long exposure.
