They dropped the Story in 3, but the playstyle is still different. imo they shouldn't be put into the same genre, as both games are played differently. btw: the handplaced worlds of gothik are much nicer than elder scrolls building blocks. #15

WebI am a huge Gothic fan, Gothic I+II are probably right behind morrowind for me, because they were one of the first few games I really got into on PC. Gothic III was a huge disappointment compared to them and I did never finish it. Gothic is not too great as an open world, but shines when you follow the fun and crazy characters through the story.
