WebApr 11, 2008 · The posts at both ends have to be fitted up against house walls. The fence panels are 5ft high and will sit on top of a 1ft high brick retaining wall. The concrete posts are therefore 8ft allowing for 2ft to be buried into the ground. What's best method to fix post to brick wall? options I can think of. (1) - U bracked of some sort (hasn't been able to find any) (2) - Drill through-hole opening and anchor bolt into wall, then cover through-hole.

I have used those to fix 3"x2" posts to brickwork (3" against the wall). I used 8x100 and didn't have a problem. D.
